Adelman Fine Art, SanDiego. Fog Rolling Out

Fog Rolling Out  36x72"   thrown and splattered paint on canvas  Nov.2018
Texture Exhibit 2019, Adelman Fine Art

This was such a hard painting to paint. It's from my trip to Bodega Bay. I was standing in the grass looking across the bay to Mitch's house from, The Birds. The fog was rolling out.
In the painting , there is a whole painting of the shore under the fog. My work is 'thrown' on to the canvas, so no brush touches the painting. 'Throwing' the painting was hard enough but to throw the fog, without obliterating the under painting was tough indeed. Look closely, you may still see the house, draped in fog, behind the pink splatters..is that Mitch?
Bodega Bay is being exhibited at the Texture Exhibit and the Anniversary Bash,  Adelman Fine Art, San Diego.

All paintings are painting using a gestural technique. Numerous coats of paint are thrown and splattered on to the canvas, using sticks and brushes. The canvas is then sealed with archival varnishes. There is no under painting, no drawing, and other than the initial rolled first coat, there is no brush work on the canvas.
